Each year Marathi Vishwa awards two scholarships in rememberance of Dr. Anandibai Gopal Joshi. Anandibai was the first female doctor whose life illustrated the need for social reform, the role of education and women's rights in India.

These scholarships are awarded to two undergraduate and one graduate student. This year we did not have a qualified graduate applicant.

The criteria for selecting the winners are based on academic excellence, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership qualities and outstanding community service.
