MARATHI VISHWA ANANDI GOPAL SCHOLARSHIP - 2012
Each year Marathi Vishwa awards two scholarships in remembrance of Dr. Anandibai Gopal Joshi. Anandibai was the first female doctor whose life illustrated the need for social reform, the role of education and women's rights in India.
These scholarships are awarded to two undergraduate and one graduate student.
The criteria for selecting the winner is based on academic excellence, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership qualities and outstanding community service.
The application deadline is: March 15th, 2012 and all the application material is available on the website.
UNDERGRADUATES:
- Complete the application form and the excel file: MV_Anandi Gopal_Undergraduate_2012. (All three spreadsheets).
- Include copies of your GPA, SAT, AP results, achievements and significant awards.
- Write a one page essay (Microsoft Word – Font Times New Roman, size 12, single space) in your own words “Your passion and vision for your own future”
- Please follow guidelines for essay formatting and do not exceed space limitations
- Please provide one (1) hard copy of all application material and softcopy of excel spreadsheet and essay.
GRADUATES :
- Complete the application form and the excel file: MV_Anandi Gopal_Graduate_2012. (All three spreadsheets)
- Include copies of your degree, achievements and significant awards.
- Provide one (1) hard copy of all application material and soft copy of excel spreadsheet.
